I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
